Caesarean-Specific Antenatal Course
MIDWIFE-LED CAESAREAN COURSE IN NORFOLK
4 WEEK COURSE | includes INFANT FIRST AID
That Little Norfolk Shop & Studio at The Abbey Schoolrooms, Church Street, Wymondham, NR18 0PH.
The Birth Preparation Company was the first Norfolk provider to offer dedicated Caesarean antenatal classes, recognising that parents planning a Caesarean birth deserve preparation and support that is specific to their birth experience.
Specifically designed for women and their partners who are having a planned Caesarean birth, my Caesarean antenatal courses allow the participants to enjoy all the benefits of attending antenatal classes which contain information specific to their circumstances.
As an experienced practising midwife I will be able to provide you with an overview of what will happen on the day of your Caesarean birth, as well as the rest of your hospital stay. You will receive tips for recovery and early days with your baby, including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, baby care, bathing, babywearing (slings), safe sleep, sleep expectations and much more.
Includes Infant first aid session for parents, covering baby CPR, choking and common emergencies.
The Caesarean course runs on demand, please contact me for details about the upcoming dates.

It is recommended to start the course when you are between 26 – 36 weeks pregnant, or at least 4 weeks before the date of your planned Caesarean birth (although we strongly recommend booking in advance to guarantee your place).
This course consists of one LIVE online session (Caesarean specific) followed by three face-to-face sessions, where you will join the participants of the regular antenatal course for the infant feeding, baby care and infant first aid sessions (4 sessions in total).
Each in-person session includes a break, during which you will be able to enjoy a cuppa and chat to the other course participants. This, together with being a part of a WhatsApp group, is a great opportunity to create a support network of new parents with babies due at similar times.
You will be encouraged to ask any questions throughout the course. I’m also always happy to answer questions in between the sessions as well as after the course via WhatsApp – enabling you to have a support of a local practising midwife at your fingertips!
My courses take place at ‘That Little Norfolk Shop & Studio‘ at The Abbey Schoolrooms, Church Street, Wymondham, NR18 0PH. The Studio is on the first floor and sadly does not have disabled access at present (there is plan for a platform lift to be installed in the near future).

What clients say...
"This course is the best money we’ve spent in preparation for the arrival of our baby – Andrea is amazing. She is so knowledgeable and every aspect of becoming a new parent is covered in detail. The sessions flew by and she even accommodated us virtually when Covid meant we unfortunately couldn’t attend the final two sessions in person. We cannot recommend this course and Andrea enough!"
