Hey! I'm Andrea,
WELCOME TO THE BIRTH PREPARATION COMPANY
My name is Andrea, I am a mum of two boys, a practising NHS Midwife, IBCLC Lactation Consultant and antenatal educator.
I've worked as a midwife for over 10 years, supporting families through pregnancy, birth and the early days of parenthood. My experience includes working in hospital maternity services, attending home births and, since 2021, working as a Community Midwife.
In 2020, I founded The Birth Preparation Company because I wanted to offer families something that can be difficult to achieve within the time constraints of busy maternity services — more time, individualised support and the opportunity to really explore their options.
Whether I'm teaching an antenatal course or supporting a family with breastfeeding, my approach is always evidence-based, practical and non-judgemental.
I believe that every family deserves to feel informed, listened to and supported in making the decisions that are right for them. My aim is to help you approach birth and early parenthood feeling more confident, prepared and supported, whatever your journey looks like.
Book my modern antenatal course in Norfolk which offers evidence-based and unbiased information presented in a friendly and non-judgemental way. The course consists of four weekly sessions, each around 3 hours long.
I offer breastfeeding and postnatal support in your own home anywhere in Norfolk and Suffolk for gentle guidance and advice. I feel passionate about supporting you in achieving your feeding goals in a gentle and calm way.
Join my support group for parents of newborns up to 6 weeks of age located at the beautiful Wymondham Abbey. The group is a great place to meet other new parents and share experiences. Everyone is welcome!
